The College-Level Examination Program® (CLEP) helps students receive college credit for what they already know, for a fraction of the cost of a college course. The credit is guaranteed to transfer but it is not guaranteed to apply to degree requirements. Students should consult with academic advisors on how credit for CLEP can meet degree requirements. Colleges and universities may award credit for other CLEP exams that are not listed on the state-approved exam list -- students are encouraged to check with the college or university.
