Colorado Reverse Transfer

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the recent CDHE cybersecurity incident, the Reverse Transfer process has been significantly delayed. We are diligently working on a solution with the Colorado institutions of higher education and will provide updates when available. Thank you for your patience.

Reverse Transfer allows students who transferred from a Colorado two-year institution to a four-year institution to combine credits apply them toward an associate degree. Formerly known as "Degree Within Reach," the program began in 2014.

If you are a transfer student, this means you can earn the associate degree you started at your community college while still working toward your bachelor’s degree. You could be eligible even if you recently left a four-year institution before earning a degree.

2350 associate degrees have been awarded to students through Reverse Transfer through May 2021. View the totals by year.

Next Round: Beginning Again in March 2023
Students who are eligible for Reverse Transfer will be emailed by their participating Colorado four-year college/university beginning in March 2023. If you have any questions regarding the process until then, contact your college.
